Quality Policy & Services

Our prime objective is to supply materials to the fullest satisfaction of our customers and at competitive price with respect to consistent quality, timely delivery for all grades to national & international standards accurate in dimension and consistency of sound structure.

“SHCI” is an investment castings supplier hence it is necessary to cater the castings of intricate shaper with precise General casting tolerance will be as per IS: 11166 – 1993 CLASS – 2. The achieve this goal; it is unavoidably necessary to maintain strict quality controls throughout the process. For executing this object, we have established a quality assurance method.

Strict quality inspection is carried out throughout the process to see that all process parameters are maintained. Reports wherever necessary are also documented.

Test Certificate : This is specially given with authentic guarantee for chemical composition and other metallurgical properties.

Moreover, these following tests are carried out on customer's demand and at customers' cost only.
    1. Radio graphical Test / Ultrasonic Test
    2. Dye Penetration Test
    3. Pressure Testing of Castings
    4. Acid Picking of Castings
    5. Intergranular Corrosion Test
    6. Non Destructive Test

"SHCI" make our own metal  to Costomer specified International Standard, in  Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel, Carbon Steel, Aluminium Alloys, Copper base Alloys for casting components with weight range of few Gms. (03Gms.) To 35 kgs. Single piece casting and in minimum wall thickness up to 1.5mm

Tolerances
The Accuracy obtainable in precision investment casting depends on a number of process parameters, of which the die tolerances, the shrinkage of wax, the refractory and casting meterial must be mentioned in particular. The table given below shows the tolerance achievable for different dimensions.

      TIR = Total Indicator Reading
Functional Tolerances   Flatness
Critical dimensions important from view point of fitment assembly  and the end use.

It takes mechanical straightening to get rid of twist and waviness in all typical flat sections. The above tolerances can be applied to a flat piece regardless of its irregular shape.
Non Functional Tolerances   Straightness
Non- critical dimensions unimportant from view point of fitment, assembly and the end use.

When parts are long and thin the finished castings have to be mechanically straightness.
Roundness   Surface Finish
Roundness is a function of normal shrinkage variation in the metal. Out-of-Roundness is the radial difference between a true circle and a given circumference. It is the total indicator reading (TIR) when the part is rotated by 360'.

Metal Average RMS Value
Alluminium Alloy 60-100
Beryllium Copper 60-100
AMS 4640 Bronze 60-100
AISI 400 Series Stainless 100-125
Cobalt Chrome Alloy 80-125
Carbon Steel 90-125
Concerntricity   Angular Tolerances
Any dimensional difference in the location of one centre with another is the extent of the concentricity. In general concentricity is a function of outside and inside diameter.
Angular tolerances are usually +/- 30'.
